Alicia Bailey and Melinda Laz met in twenty years ago in a printmaking class at the Art Students League of Denver. Over the past two decades, the two artists have shown several times together locally and beyond, created multiple collaborative artwork series, and served as each other’s critics and friends in both good times and challenging ones. This show pairs them together once again for a show featuring both previous and new work. There are several several common threads throughout the works including vintage photographs, references to the natural world, and use of pattern and texture. The biggest thread is their ongoing friendship, and shared love and influence of printmaking in their individual bodies of work.
